Submitted for Round 2 (I hope )

Due to the holiday season my recommenders were unable to submit their recommendations before the deadline. The recommendations were submitted today. Would this imply a deferral to Round 3? My status still shows "Submission Status: Submitted". What about you guys?

You should be good to go for R2. The Tepper team is wonderfully nice and they know these things happen.

Agreed with method and currently everyone's status is submitted.

Yay for getting R2 apps in! I just wanted to post a word of encouragement regarding the interview invite wait.

Don't be discouraged if you don't get an interview invite as soon as others! I was really surprised when two people posted that they received an interview invite only 5 days after R1 deadline (good for you guys!). And then I was a little disappointed and started questioning my app. But thanks to the encouragement of current students on the thread...and also from reading the 2011 thread, I see how invites really do come out in an almost constant trickle.

I got my invite about 2-3 (closer to 3, I think) weeks after the R1 deadline. Interviewed and got accepted with $$.

Congrats! Tepper is a great school. You should be very excited. I'm an R2 applicant and am crossing my fingers for an interview invite soon. When they do call, how flexible are they with the scheduling of the interviews? Who interviewed you (student or adcom)? Any information that you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Very flexible, they have a coordinator who you'll work with. And interviews are adcom only. They're also not 100% blind, most of the staff will give the app a quick once-over (at minimum), so that may impact your interview strategy.

Yep, agreed - very flexible with scheduling! These can also be on campus or via skype/phone. I did mine on campus, but my interview was blind. She said it up front that she has not looked through it and at the end of the interview, she asked what I wanted to highlight in my application when she's looking through it later. This may be interviewer preference!

Also, my interview invite was via email instead of a phone call.

Hey Tepper R1 and R2 applicants! FYI if you're applying to Tepper through the Consortium Graduate Study in Management (CGSM), hop over to the Consortium 2012 Forum and Update Your Profile to join the Consortium roll call.

It's simple. Just select your school as "Consortium, the", then indicate which specific institution(s) you'll be applying to, make sure your application cycle is 2011-2012 and the Consortium round (CGSM1 or CGSM2) you be applied in. You can do all of this easily through the handy 'Add to Your Schools' link on the front page of the Consortium 2012 Forum.

Any R2 applicants heard back from Tepper yet?

No word yet from me. From reading prior posts about R1 and from reading adcom materials, you really should not be worried if you do not hear right away. They have a lot of applications to review and really could let you know about an interview invite at any time before the stated deadline. Good luck and I hope you get an interview invite soon!

Thanks, I hope so too. I have a question, wondering if you guys can help me. I have read some other posts where the application status for some is "Stage 3: Credentials Received - Appication Under Review by the Admissions Committee". When I log in, I can only see that my application has been submitted. Am I missing something?

I didn't hit Stage 3 until post-interview, which was maybe a week prior to decisions being released.
