[quote="pelihu"]From SF you can drive to Tahoe in about 3 hours though.

That's pretty quick Pelihu. It took us about five hours to get to Kirkwood from Hayward last year, but then again that was crawling along the windy route 88. Even in the winter Tahoe is spectacular.

Still kicking myself for not stopping over in San Fran on the way back to Japan last week. I guess we'll have to share that bottle of wine after the annual "C4C competition" at Stanford next spring.

Oh well. I like SoCal better anyway.

Our first HAAS bashing post. And it isn't even the 19th yet. This one isn't bad, but it's a nice warm up for what's to come.

Whoa, not bashing. Just an optimistic outlook on what seems to be me not living in Berkeley for two years.

It's also true, I'm more of an LA guy.

I was thinking of the summer. Trying to get through the Donner Pass in the winter can definitely get tough. It hasn't taken so long that I've resorted to eating my traveling companions, but it happens :)

We will definitely have to get together sometime next year. I'm actually sitting in a motel in Charlottesville at the moment. Thinking back to my law school days, the even everyone looked forward to each year was the nation-wide law school softball tournament that they hosted at Virginia. I think the business school hosts one as well :)

Check your email and application status. I got my ding without interview.

That's too bad. Berekely looks to be really hard this year. Which 2 schools are you still waiting for?

UCLA and Chicago GSB.

How'd you make out with Haas?

I submitted for R3, so with the R2 deadline coming on 3/19, they probably haven't started reviewing it yet. I'm hopeful and I like the school a lot, but I think it's a going to be a tough task. Maybe I can get lucky.

Good luck. Haas looks like a tough school to crack.

I'm not feeling to great about UCLA. I submitted 1 day before R2 deadline and interviewed (voluntary) back in December, but no word. I hear of other people getting accepts who interviewed after me.

And then if I get rejected by Haas and UCLA (which it might be), Chicago seems like a longshot. Oddly enough, Chicago is higher ranked, but Chicago might be my best chance.

I don't think anyone here got an invite to Super Saturday, so an admit would be very slim.

I just hope this is not a sign to come for my other school decisions.

Good luck to all of you that got waitlists.

Ahh, what a relief. Thanks to all the GMAT Clubbers who provided invaluable tips and resources through this whole process--I'm sure I wouldn't have made it without this board.

Damn, seems like Haas is really selective this year. My best friend got in with a 3.0/740 and 0 extracurriculurs, but that was back in '02.
