Did any of the R2 applicants applications go under review. On the business week forums , I saw someone claiming that he/she got an interview invite(an R2 applicant). Mine still says submitted.

For the person wondering who got the admit... (I got it off the guy who posted this on businessweek forums).

Seems like the latest poster thought that 12/17 was the date everyone would know, and was wondering if this guy interviewed in person (presumably alumni?) or not.

I am a rd 2 applicant. You can add me to your role call.

680 / 3.4 / business mgmt degree / 4 years corporate banking wk exp at matriculation

My application went under review 12/1/09. I received an e-mail.

I called johnson today and they confirmed that admitted applicants would be notified 1-2 days before decision deadline. I assume the chinese source is unreliable.

I am a r2 applicant, and mine just went under review on the 4th. I didnt get an email, but i did check my online account and it shows under review

In my opinion it went well.She went over the usual questions and asked me a lot of specific questions about my background.She also confirmed that the app volume is much lower this year so lets hope for the best.

International Students are required to answer: "If offered admission to the Johnson School, can you or a sponsor(s) provide asset documentation for $135,000 USD ( Two-Year MBA) or $103,000 USD (Accelerated MBA)? Yes or No?"


What if my plan is to get a loan to finance my MBA? I should answer "NO," right?

Do you think Cornell will still process my application if I answer "NO" to the question?

I believe 'no' would be the appropriate answer to their question. You should call the admissions office in the morning to discuss your particular situation.

I had written an email to the MBA admission office regarding the same and this is what they replied:

"You may not use loan information for I-20 purposes (declaration of finance). Your response to the financing question on the application will have no impact on our admissions decision; all decisions are made on a 'need blind' basis. "

Based on this I ticked the Yes Option.

Thanks so much bandit for the above information. I too want to borrow loan to finance my MBA. I don't remember exactly but I think if you put NO to that question you won't be able to submit your apps; I am not sure though.
