Congrats on such a quick turnaround.
My two cents on the interview: I found it extremely painless. In fact, it was the most pleasant experience I had as far as interviews go. Since it was not a blind interview, the interviewer had already reviewed my application and asked me questions based on what I had written. I cant emphasize how much I love this approach. Rather than trying to sell your career to date and where you are going to the interviewer, it was more selling your personality (with a few mandatory Why Stern, why mba, why now questions mixed in). I appreciated being afforded the opportunity to tell my life story rather than my work story (mainly because I've been fortunate enough to have a unique life path, but then again, havent we all?). Perhaps the reason I loved this particular process was because it allowed me to show my best side. I've only had 3 years WE so I wasnt as impressive in other interview formats.


Ive come to realize this whole process is like taking a picture. You want the photographer to take the photo to capture your best side. Some people can take a picture either way and still be photogenic, some people need to show their creative side, some need to show their leadership side, etc. When too many of us want to face the same direction, the adcom is forced to pick the most photogenic people in each respective direction.

Wait-list w/o interview: 1/6/10
Interview Invitation: 2/25/10
Interview (summer start): 3/25/10
Admitted: 4/2/10

I interviewed on the 19th in Shanghai... no reply yet. I think the interview could have gone better as I was nervous (despite the fact that it was casual!). I've seen most people with admits get a response 9-10 days after interview and already some people who've interviewed on the same day or later have gotten admits... any thoughts?

I've been in-touch with 3 other Summer Start people, all R2 applicants (we exchanged business cards during the interview day).

Two were admitted on Friday, and the other has yet to hear. Not saying this means anything (the admissions process for all these schools sometimes defies logic), but people are being notified...

Congratulations, recent admits!

Still nothing on my end, and my interview was on 3/25. Anyone else had to wait the full 3 weeks before being notified after an interview?
