I worked in UK some 6 years back. Back then, it used to take 2 weeks for a work permit to UK. I think student visa should be even easier. Though the rules have changed, it shouldn't be that tough.

The Visa norms have become much stricter now. One of the major factors is when was the last time you traveled to UK since they verify your biometrics if you have not been there in the past 5 years. The whole thing can take a month for even tourist visas now and things might be more hectic because of the Olympics.

Anyway I am in a similar situation and I feel it would be better to get selected and start two weeks late than get dinged now.

Hi everyone - I got accepted to INSEAD, so I'll be taking myself off of the LBS waitlist. Hopefully that gets everyone a little bit closer to getting off of the list! Best of luck!

Congrats! What's your special reason for preferring INSEAD over LBS?

Waitlisted in R4 !!
whats the idea behind waitlisting in R4 when the session is to start in August. how will people wrap up their lives within couple of weeks... and will it be possible to get visas within 2 weeks... specially with olympics around....

anyoen else waitlisted in r4 ? or any pending waitlisters from r2 and r3 ??

Still on WL after R2. Next review date- 18 July. Seemed to have got used to living with all this uncertainty!
