I am wondering if they review waitlist at all. It seems that they are just trying to manage expectations. Any movement will only happen once all rounds are complete and if they have any seats left empty by then.

happy new year guys!
just wanted to check if anyone had mailed adcom and received feedback or planned any school visits?

Hey duffman - I visited the school back in November. Also, I just re-took the GMAT and sent in my new scores to the adcom.

I guess that's all that could be expected of someone to improve their chances. I think vintron is correct about his analysis of LBS handling their wait list. The only person I heard of getting of the wait list was bsd_lover and he too got admission into the following year's batch so don't know what to expect of it anymore.

Thanks duffman26 and vintron.

I agree -- I think LBS waitlist is poorly managed. What I did appreciate about INSEAD is that waitlisted candidates were still treated similarly as admitted candidates in that we were encouraged to still apply for the scholarships while waiting. Someone else wrote a very succinct analysis of the INSEAD waitlist process. It looks like often people were put on waitlist because they are waiting to see if a similar profile pops up in R2 (as you guys surely know, INSEAD has over 80 nationalities and put a 10% cap on each country), then they make the decision accordingly -- this results in many R1 waitlist candidates being admitted with R2. I really appreciated the communication process with INSEAD and the level of respect I got before and after waitlist.

Good luck to fellow LBS waitlisters who are still waiting. Are you guys contemplating other schools? Or is LBS THE one for you?

From previous years' posts we can anticipate that most of the ppl on waitlist will be re-waitlisted for a further date..... as far as I can tell, the chance to get in is pretty slim...

I was just reading the old 2010, 2011 Waitlist threads on gmatclub... It seems to me that this year's waitlist thread is surprisingly quiet..... does that mean not many ppl are on the waitlist????

And I noticed that on the tracker feed - there are only 9 ppl on the list so far this year....... I dont know how representative that is.... but, anyhow, I feel this year we could have better chance of getting into the program....

Just my two cents....

What you guys think?

If it calms any waitlister's nerves, I got an acceptance email but I am unlikely to accept it. So that's another spot to you!
