ROUND(2.501) = 3, since 3 is the the nearest integer to 2.501;
TRUNC(-1.8) = -2, since -2 is the largest integer less than -1.8;
TRUNC(-0.25) = -1, since -1 is the largest integer less than -0.25.

ROUND(2.501) - TRUNC(-1.8) - TRUNC(-0.25) = 3 - (-2) - (-1) = 6.

Hope it's clear.

Bunuel, truncate means "cut" the excess digits, not round. I think it would be more correct if TRUNC "rounded down" to the nearest integer.
