AF=18-6 = 12
FE = 14-5 = 9
In right angled \(\triangle\) AFE ,
AE^2 = AF^2 + FE^2
= 12^2 + 9 ^2
= 144 +81
= 225
AE = 15
Distance covered by Irv = 15
Speed of Irv = 5 miles/hour
Distance covered by Manny = 6 + 5 + 18 + 14 = 43
Speed of Manny = 10 miles/hour
Time taken by Irv = 15/5 = 3 hours
Time taken by Manny = 43/10 = 4 hours and 18 mins
Irv will arrive 1 hour and 18 mins before Manny

Manny will take 4.3 hours and another will take 3 hours
hence less than manny's time but more than 1hour and before manny
