Did you guys send your official transcripts to Georgetown? Can I send a scan copy of my transcript to the Admissions?
you
CANNOT send a scanned transcript. If you only have one copy, then it has to be certified as a true copy by a college/university official. Generally, it must be in a closed envelope, and sealed, no exceptions. If you're international and have a transcript that's not in English, then it has to be translated to English, and the translator seals the envelope.
Agreed - it's a bit different from other schools, but definitely a key requirement. Under "application status" after the application is submitted, there's a legend describing what each status means. One of these is: "
Processed: incomplete, ready for review, unofficial: One or more of your required documents are
unofficial. Your application has been forwarded to review but a decision may not be released until
all official materials are received." (the bolded text is my emphasis)
On another note, I completed my interview this week and want to share my thoughts to hopefully help out anyone who has an upcoming interview.
The adcom interviewer was incredibly friendly and nice, and that made for a relaxed atmosphere. She was very interested in what I had to say and was jotting down notes throughout. It's all very typical questions - just know your story, know your key examples for leadership and teamwork, and you will be fine.
Good luck everyone!
