Hi Celestial09, how are you?

I am almost ashamed of posting because it is a real simple study plan! I took some time off towards the end of the preparation, yes. Those last 2 weeks (as per the study plan), I was able to focus on both V and Q on the same day. Before that, I was alternating, 2 days V; 1 day Q. Because it is what makes sense to me. During the weekends I would pull something like the attached too, work on both parts. Not even sure this will help you but at least youll see that you (really) dont need anything fancy to plan ahead and keep track. some activities I did not color. Those I was not able to do that day... procratinating, probably...

Many thanks and good luck to you too!

Hey!
Apologies... for making you in a tricky situation. I am all good.. How about you ?
Really you taught me a thing.. Keep it simple. Thats what I was missing. I was trying to act as if its a damn rocket science.
Your plan is pretty decent.
Thanks and wish you luck for your schools apps.

Dear Donedeal,

Thanks for sharing your experience with others.

Could I ask you how good your English generally is? In terms of your TOEFL or IELTS score, or any other measure which reflects English proficiency.

I have noticed that you have mentioned you are not a native speaker of English, though your debrief indicates that your English is quite good.
Why am I asking this?
Well, although GMAT is not a test of English proficiency, but no body doubts the fact that the better one's English, the higher one's score.
I curios to know that whether you had problems for example with vocab of readings in OG readings or CR questions. Of course, I think that even though a non-native English speaker might not know some words in OG reading, most of the time, if not always, it is possible to guess the meaning from the context.
Do you think that apart from your analytic and reasoning skills and strength, your English proficiency has also played an important role in getting such an excellent verbal score,44? And how much?

Best,

Hi apolo, how are you?

Thanks for your re. Well, while I speak english a good portion of my day, working for an American company, a non native will always have less sensibility to nuances of speech and idioms. Well, the test is about use of english (concision, comprehension, reasoning, writing style) so from my perspective, a native has clear advantage right from beginning. So, to your question, absolutely, the deeper knowledge in English, the easier it will come. But what falls from the sky into anybodys lap? A good example for me was RC. It takes me a lot more time to read a passage in English than one in my native language and I realized I was actually too slow. So, by gathering my other talents and practice, i was able to master a more agile technique. A non native surely has got to ask himself whether his familiarity with English, and i emphasize that, as it is now, will allow him to reach a particular score. And work on English concepts if he feels to answer negatively to this question. But that would be necessary to keep track of classes and activities during business school! In the end of the day, I believe that it is hard work that get us to where we want to go... Word.

Awesome, man. Thank you so much for your question. Put me into thinking about it!

Have a great one!
