Being an international student interested in marketing roles post MBA, which school is the better choice? Given a choice, I would prefer to work/stay in California, but that's not really a major option with either of these schools, so it's immaterial.
I recommend reaching out to alumni regarding how easy it was to find companies that sponsor and recruit on-campus or off-campus with alumni connections. I know someone from Olin that is stuck in a company he doesn't like because it was one of the few firms that sponsors international students for work visas on campus. Not sure about McCombs, so I can't speak for it (could be better or worse). That being said, I heard great things from people who attended there regarding their experience. However, I hear the recruiting scene if you want to get a job outside the mid-west is difficult. I'm curious if other alumni may have another opinion. Great option if you want to settle in St. Louis. I assume the same (latter) goes for McCombs if you like Austin (maybe good marketing opportunities related to sxsw or do they just fly everyone in from NYC and LAX?).
While I don't like the city of St. Louis and have zero interest living there after seeing how they they handled the Ferguson crisis, I can say first-hand that the WashU campus is amazing and the new business school building is fabulous. I did an executive education program there for work and it was interesting, but nothing amazing.
Edit: Congrats on admission and the scholarship!
