Thanks for the quick reply, good to know I'm probably not forgotten. I had a friend who interviewed at JMB just text me a minute saying she got in. Now I can obsess over my inbox for the next few days/weeks, Johnson is my #2 so really hoping I get the invite. Best of luck on your interview.

Hey Johnny Gmat, so you're confirming that Johnson is sending out acceptances starting today?
I'd rather have my worrying be substantiated, even though it obviously has no affect on whether or when I will receive an acceptance.

Lol, I totally understand. A friend of mine just texted me earlier today saying that she got in so based on that I'd say yeah, there's definitely some action happening.

Just did my interview today in Ithaca with an adcom member. Very conversational and laidback. Even the behavorial questions were nicely woven into the conversation. Nothing out of the ordinary and what everyone else has said applies. Now the wait begins!

Anybody know what date Johnson will start to call? I've been getting different responses. Some told me Dec 6th, some said 19th. Any clues?

Based on JohnnyGMAT's quoted post, the calls started going out today.

Never anticipated having to wait until the end of December for a decision (applied rd 1, no invite). Asking everyone to hold on is a bit, well, I don't know, offensive. And I say this out of respect for those that interviewed in October/November. What is actually going to happen from the time you interviewed until December 20th that will impact adcom's decision, overall class demographic? Just let the dings move on already and let those that are worthy in already....I am not bitter, just disturbed by the process time-line.

Good luck to everyone.

I prefer waiting for that one day for announcements. Imagine the first admits/rejects start trickling in within weeks of the deadline and you don't hear from them. I wouldn't be able to spend each day in such agony.

Hi.. I am a newbie here. I have submitted my Johnson's application on 30 November for R2. I haven't sent my transcripts yet. Do I need to send them before I get an interview invite? Is there any deadline for sending the original transcripts?

Hi All,

I just called the Admissions office of Johnson and had the following conversation with them (verbatim):

"
Me: Hi, there are rumors floating around that Johnson is already rolling out their decisions for R1 applications. I'd like to confirm if that is the case.

Admission : Our decision notification is Dec 20th.

Me: Does that mean that we will not get the decision before that?

Admission: Yes
"

I think that clears it up. So, we can all breathe a sigh of relief and postpone this excitement/anxiety for a few more days.

If this information helped, kudos are welcome :)

Uploading the transcript is ok for now. If admitted, you'll need to send an official copy. I believe that this is mentioned in the application instructions.

Argh. that's a bit disappointing since i really was hoping to hear back early. i was told during the interview (back in Oct) that i'd hear from them starting early-Dec though. I guess they've changed their mind since then?

While I don't doubt that you did have this conversation, my friend did indeed get an admit call yesterday, I'm just reporting what I heard, do with it what you want.
