Had my interview last week. It was mostly conversational. Questions asked:
- Lot of questions on one of my leadership experiences at previous employer. What did you do, what did you like the most about it, how will you do it differently now etc.
- Why MBA, Why Haas?
- Imagine you are 60 yr old and reflect back on your life talking in past tense.
- You have worked in a MNC as well as started a venture. What are the advantages & disadvantages of both types of companies. Draw a comparison.
- What is your personal goal? I was a bit stumped by this as I don't really have a personal goal. For me career & personal goal are the same.
Interview went on for 1 hr.
When I questioned him on his experience at Haas, he seemed so enthusiastic about the school. I could feel his love for Haas. Was very impressed with the insider perspective that he gave.
Overall, interview was good but I don't think he liked me that much
. I came out more as a ambitious career woman with a competitive spirit, but he didn't seem that much of a career person. He even made a statement that Haas is not for those who are competitive, it is more of a laid back collaborative school, a bit "Stanford"ish.
I am not keeping much hopes with Haas. Lets wait & see what result comes through next week. Any idea when do they call Indian applicants?
