Just curious, how many Indian applicants have been interviewed by Haas in R2 ?

I am from India and had my interview about 2 weeks ago, but there was some issue in sending across transcripts which (I hope) should be resolved soon.

I received a mail yesterday that they have received my transcripts.

When I logged in to check my status, it has changed to "Application Under Review" from "Invited to Interview". Did anyone else note this change?

Yes, I had the same change. I actually called yesterday to ensure they had received my transcripts and they updated it about 5 minutes later. So I believe our applications are complete for the time being, and it will change to "complete" once a decision has been reached.

Hypothetical question for you guys, even though by posting this on the Haas thread I'm sure to get some biased answers, but anyways...

All else equal, how much more would you pay in order to go to Haas over Anderson? For transparency, I've been admitted to both, and expect to get a sizeable amount from Anderson, and not much at all from Haas. If it's a full-ride vs no money, the choice is easy (Anderson), but when the difference gets smaller, the decision gets tougher. What would be the tipping point for you?

I unexpectedly got my admit call this weekend actually...(really wasn't expecting it...thought I would just get an email March 1st). Admissions director said she was getting a head start on the calls (so it seems like there will be a bunch of activity from Monday to Wednesday).

Good luck and hope to meet some of you in March at the admit weekend!

So so excited ..this is my first admit! :)

Anyone know what is the deadline for accepting the R2 offer? I haven't received the email yet.
Deadlines for the other schools I have applied to are more than a month away.

Anyone know what is the deadline for accepting the R2 offer? I haven't received the email yet.

I am a long-time lurker who got his first YES last night. So far my progress has been (all consortium except CBS):

Decisions:

Haas - Admit
Yale - WL

Still waiting to hear from (but have interviewed at):

Stern
Dartmouth
Columbia
UCLA

A few bits of intelligence that I got from Haas admissions during the phone call:

- Consortium fellowship decisions are to be released on 3/19 - any non-Consortium fellowship/scholarship decisions are to be made/applied for following the Consortium decision on this date
- She knew where I had ranked Haas - (i.e. - oh no - the schools know!)
- Days at Haas is happening on the weekend of 3/16
- Deposit deadline of 4/15

Hi congrats with your application, I am interested in your comment on the school ranking.

I was dinged by HBS by the way, I am a R2 applicant on Harvard, UCLA and Stanford, and R3 on Haas

In my Haas application I remember I was asked to state to which other programs I had applied. I stated that I had applied to Harvard, Stanford, UCLA and Haas. I do not recall any ranking though. It was stated that this information was strickly for statistical purpose.

Based on your comment I am now wondering if it was a mistake to give away this information, My concern is that I might have somehow "insulted" the Haas admission by applying to programs that are somehow "more sought after" then Haas but stating in my essay that Haas was my first choice.
There are not many applicants that turn down Harvard and Stanford. I hope it makes sense what I am trying to say.

In before hand I knew that the odds of getting into Stanford and Harvard were very slim.. therefore I am betting on UCLA and Berkeley, from those two Berkeley is clearly my first pick :)

hafgola is just talking about consortium fellowship rankings. If you didn't apply through the Consortium then don't worry about this. This is different than the school just asking you where else you applied on your application (which didn't include a ranking).

STM3456 was talking about ranking only for CONSORTIUM Candidates. If you applied to Haas regularly (and not through the consortium common application), then his statement does not apply. There is no ranking for regular candidates. For us consortium candidates, we are asked to rank our schools.

Hope that clears up confusion!
