Hi all,
I took the GMAT last week and my score fell from my average GMAT Prep score of 700-710 (Q48-49 V37-40) to real GMAT score of 660 (Q45 V35). The night before my GMAT, I took some head ache pills without realizing that the pills contained a great amount of caffeine. I felt miserable the entire night and couldn't get any sleep.
So I went to the test center after consuming a lot of Red Bull and caffeine pills. I couldn't focus and just wanted to get it over with: guessed more than 5 quant questions, which I otherwise could've solved, and a couple of questions in verbal.
I believe now that I am going to retake the exam, I should spend more time on Verbal and try to score 740. I have already covered the
MGMAT SC book,
OG 12th ed, Kaplan Premier, Kaplan Math workbook,
OG Quant and Verbal 2nd Ed. I am still struggling with SC and average 1 mistake every 3.5 questions. So I have recently purchased Aristotle SC Grail, Questionbank, and Jeff Sackman's Verbal Bible. Can someone recommend how I should use this material to get the most out of it?
Also, inequalities is my weakest area in quant and I sometimes have trouble with modulus and geometry problems. Any advice to improve that?
Since I have already spent over 200 hours preparing for the GMAT, I am not sure how many more hours of prep I need. I essentially need to try and raise my practice score by 30-50 points, and verbal is probably the best way to do that.
Any help/advice on how to study for the second time would be highly appreciated.
