Hi All,
Probably this question has been asked like thousand times, however will be very grateful if you experts can answer this one more time.
After you finished reading, understanding all concepts Maths & Verbal, what is the sequence of practice tests/material that should be followed (in the order of difficulty) if you are targeting 700+ score
Maths -->
OG Problems--> ---->
Verbal -->
OG Problems--> ---->
Thanks a lot for your replies
QUANT --> I would do the
OG 12/13 straight after finishing my Prep material :- Time yourself and do the questions 30 at a time (one hour sitting) and try to do 1 or two sittings a day. Spend a lot of time going over the answer explanations for ALL the questions you attempted on that day. The last 50 DS questions on the OG13 are very good and are 650+ (my estimate). The
OG Gives you a heck of a lot of questions written by actual test makers and even though some of them are TOO easy to show up especially if you are doing good, they do boost confidence and also make you efficient at the EASY problems.
--> After you finish thoroughly going over the
OG start doing 600-700 level questions on this forum. Time yourself and try to do 10-15 questions every day, while reviewing your
error log ( and even go over the concepts of the questions that you were consistently getting wrong)
--> If you are find it hard to tackle the 650+ level questions, do review your prep material again, or consult some other material (maybe read a math foundation book to get your basics straight) ..
--> If RAW QUESTIONS are what you are looking for, then buy an advanced recourse such as Kaplan 800. It includes 650 level questions for quant, and may help you if you are struggling with WORD PROBLEMS or make careless mistakes (CONSIDER it as a question bank and not a review book). It can be bought for 5-8 dollars USED @ amazon. It will also provide you with some 650 level Verbal questions so you can't really loose..
--> Once you have mastered Quant and are breezing past 650+ Questions, and need some TOUGH prep, then you can get the
GMAT CLUB TESTS, which are purposely made hard (harder then the GMAT by far). If you want to review strategy on 700+ questions in quant, the
MGMAT Quant Book is excellent and also provides an amazing set of questions (as tough or tougher then any you will come across in the actual test)...
These resources should be be enough ....
For Verbal :
OG is still the best source, You can download the SC 100 document for the really hard questions but i wouldnt do the 1000 or 5000 question set, but would rather spend extra time reviewing grammar and making myself better at picking out good grammar and meaning.
CR - Again go over the strategy that is widely given, and do tough questions from the
OG. If you want tougher questions try LSAT materials (1-15 questions) ...
RC: Practice Strategic reading and do the
OG set (should be enough)..Spend extra time reading good material..
