No update to online status as yet, so I guess it will be at noon. Best of luck daemon, Kenny and the rest! I really hope they make more calls today. This forum deserves some more admits :)

that would make it 20%... which would mean, out of 250.. they might have called 50 admitted folks yesterday??
would it be a fair way to extrapolate?

Honestly, I am not sure why they make it so difficult. The next few hours is like watching a nice suspense, thriller movie!
There are 28 R1 applicants on this forum and we have only 6 admits (<25%) so far. I am guessing there has to be more. So, the only question is: When are they going to start calling today? If they have to update the online status by Noon, they would most likely finish calling by then.

At least one of the six were lurkers that weren't in the official listing at the top of the thread. So, the pool is larger than 30.

i am not a lurker but i dont think i am one of the 30 R1 captured on the forum. I am R1 but I don't see my profile listed as R1.

Does Adcom check this forum? is Adcom among us?

20 minutes until the market opens. stand by your phone. i am expecting several work-related calls today too. hopefully they won't collide with each other.

You're right, I think there were one or two lurkers, but then again are the remaining 28 active? Have all of them posted at least once?

Even if they haven't, I'd imagine the pool of people reading the thread is significantly larger than the number of people that have contributed. This thread is the only active one I've run across for EWMBA class of 2016.

Based on my conversations with AdCom directors at UCLA and Kellogg (pretty similar to Haas), a very very crude estimate for admit distributions might be something like this

15% in R1
40% in R2
40% in R3
5% in R4 (or from all waitlists)

Now if we assume that Haas under admits in R1, then that 15% will fall to may be 10% and the R2 will bump up 45%

Assuming a total of 700 applicant pool, approx 110 must have applied in the R1, approx 11 must have gotten their admits yesterday(?) (6 here) and the wild estimate would be that approx 9-10 might get waitlists today (?), now how many of those will be from this forum is an excellent question :)

No idea. My point is, don't try to extrapolate your chances from how many have been admitted on this thread so far. It's not going to be remotely possible due to the variables involved. You'll find out in a couple hours either way. If it does end up being the WL, you still have a fighting chance though.

Keep in mind UCLA also has a really early R1. From what they said, they only get 10% of their application pool in R1 and something like 75% between R2 & R3.
