Hi dudes!!
I have dilemma over when to take my first gmat, my first attempt is scheduled on january 14th, my scores on prep test are so far:
-Manhattan CAT 1 Q45 V34 --> 650
-GMATPrep 1, Quantitative 49
-GMATPrep 2, Quantitative 50
-Manhattan CAT 2 Q45
(I did not take the verbal sections because I didnt have enough time in the gap I had for GMAT preparation).
Before taking the prep test above, I reviewed:
-Manhattan full guide, I only reviewed the quant part and 3/4 of the SC book.
-Kaplan Premier and Kaplan +800
-Veritas Geometry Book
-
Magoosh, I did all the quant questions and all the SC questions.
-3 Official Guides (Quant + Verbal + the big book)
From now onwards,I have 6 weeks in total, for the first 3 weeks I have 4hours per weekday and 6hours per weekend day to study and for the last 3 weeks I can study full time (8-10 hours a day).
The deadline of the B-School I am willing to get in is on April 15th, so here it comes the 2 options I have:
-Taking on the 14th of January, if I fail, I will retake at the end of feb and if I fail again, I ll retake at the end of march. => 3 attemtps in total
-Postponing my first GMAT test to the end of January or beginning of Feb in order to get 2 more weeks of study time, and then If I fail, I will retake in mid march. => 2 Attempts in total.
My Goal is 720, which means direct admission, but if I got 700 I wouldnt take it again as I think my academic transcript could offset a 700 score.
My questions:
-Do you think it is possible to get 720 from 650 in 6 weeks time?
-Putting off the test date 2 weeks later and gaining 2 weeks of full gmat study would make a big difference?
-Any recommendations??? A study plan for 6 weeks of hard study??
Thanks a lot,
