well, is this the ONLY resume you're submitting for columbia? I thought resumes are generally used for any blind interviews or things like that, where you want to have some extracurriculars on there to start the conversation and portray a well-rounded version of yourself.

gmat_march - the resume is like your job resume.. so u need to put in the resume as you would for a job application.

I think this was discussed in the previous posts in the same thread or in a similar thread and one sample of a resume was posted...
Just to cool ur nerves, I will re-post the sample resume

Okay, after wrestling with the "Credit card payment" module of the Columbia website for two days, I was finally able to make the payment and submit the application today. Dear God !! Please no 'ding' in the first application! :?

Congrats mNeo :)

I need some help in making a decision: I am definitely looking to apply to Columbia but am not sure if I should go with ED or RD. I am definitely more interested in Chicago and K but then I heard that there is a "small" advantage in applying in ED. Having said that, I am not sure if I can work on 3 apps over the next month or so. Would you guys recommend concentrating on C/K and push CBS to RD? How much of an edge do you have in ED?

Decisions, decisions...

dosa aka mojomover, there is definitely an advantage by submitting in ED. I suspect Columbia will not have an ED bucket per se, so any candidate with a good profile and good essays will get in because he has already demonstrated interest by signing up for the ED round.

That said, I suspect that the closer you get to the ED deadline, your returns start diminishing. So, dont submit an app on the Ed deadline.

Thank you, ncprasad! :)

Okay, I want the rest of you gmatclubbers to take a moment of silence and pray to your God about my first application. My fellow atheists can pray to the theory of evolution, if they want.

dosa, I had a similar suggestion for kryzak a few days back. I think that at this stage, when almost all the R1 deadlines are a month or so away, I would not recommend focussing on more than 2 schools (Unless you are almost done with one application).

Thanks for the feedback nc. I think I shall look at Columbia RD.

So...how did you know about my handle on the other sites? ;)

Dont you think there could be another person who thought of that acronym at the same time I did? :)

On a side note: what does your crystal ball say about my future? :P

Now I understand why everybody was checking the statuses of their applications many times in a day. I have submitted the Columbia application today and I already feel like checking the status :(
