After waiting for an entire day since 8am this morning, I finally got a call the Admissions. I think the adcom officer was scared when I was so excited and screaming into her ears :oops:

Is everybody who doesn't get a scholarship automatically on the waitlist?

I guess so. This is the impression I got from an email from Ann Richards this morning. According to a Chinese forum, most of the admitted in China got a scholarship of various amounts. Probably they try hard to encourage international to matriculate.

Tal - I registered, DJ weekend is going to be awesome! Looking forward to returning to Ithaca (My interview last month was on a Thursday but I ended up staying the entire weekend!)

weird man, i was almost sure you'd get it (assuming you were as enthusiastic about johnson during your interview as you were on these forums).

I was very excited about Johnson but I totally bombed my interview... and didn't really have clear goals going into this whole process which is what killed me.

Ah well, there's always next year if I decide not to go to my Tier 2 school with a huge scholly...

I am still on the waitlist. OY FRICKIN VEY. This wait is really making me go nuts.

Heard back from Johnson on the BW forum:

Raabend,
We have made offers to some R1 waitlisted applicants recently. And, the admissions committee is reviewing all of the current waitlisted applications. We'll notify you if your waitlist status changes.

If your's hasn't changed yet you're probably still in limbo.

Hey Guys,

I took a break from BW for a while, but I thought I would join GC for the duration of the wait list hell, since this is a great thread.

Raabend, you crack me up!

I'm an R1 wait lister with no change in my status since that fateful December day. I gave them an update including a really nice promotion and an additional rec letter.

Went from waitlist to denied. Not surprising considering that I did nothing to get off the list. You guys might want to check your status.
