I would NOT live too far west of MLK in the area south of University though. Some people do live there, but it's not the safest area.

Heh! Struggling to find a place on craigslist. Most people are ignoring my e-mails... probably think I'm some sort of scam artist because I'm applying from abroad, and I'm giving international references. I don't arrive until mid-August, so have no chance to look around at any accommodation before I move in and they are probably scared off by international monetary transactions... plus I'm only there for one semester.

May have to hotel it for the first couple of weeks. :( .. That will hit my budget.
