To my information GMATprep stays the same. There are companies that sell GMATPrep companions (explanations to the GMATPrep questions) and according to their records GMATPrep is not updated or refreshed at all.
I can't see any motivation or reason for GMAC to update it. I would be curious to hear any arguments why they should spend time and money on it.
As an FYI - GMATPrep contains close to 900 questions that eventually are translated into 2 tests. Hence people reinstall and re-take it multiple times and still see different questions. Thus, it is very hard to make a good judgement call based only on a sample of a few hundred.
Yeah, I wondered about this myself. There doesn't seem to be any real motivation on the part of GMAC to update it. I suppose since there are so many questions it makes sense that after a reinstall I would see a bunch of new questions. I guess I was surprised not to see any repeats. Interestingly, the CD I obtained last year has a bunch of questions from OG10. I have both OG11 and OG10.
I'm not complaining though! After taking both GMATPrep 1 and 2 four times the new questions certainly are great practice for my test this coming Friday.
