Going to the Booth info session tonight in Minneapolis, maybe someone else on here will be there as well...

Anyway, what is the dress for this? Darden's (which is tomorrow) specifically states Business Professional but I don't know if I saw it anywhere for this Booth reception.

Quick question -

Anyone add notes to Essay #3(slides)? Like maybe 2 sentences introduction, etc.

I am also committed to R1. Need to do a full application review now.

A question about the first essay - How did you choose your most recent job/internship. Are they asking about how I landed in my current company, or the latest client project I am working fpr?

I have tried to explain both - but how do you guys read this?

For the List of community involvement is there a word limit when you try to paste your list in the application? any advise from people who have already submitted? I'm pushing my submission forward to round 2.

I don't think there is any word limit for community involvement...

There is no word limit for this. However, I believe this can be anywhere from a quarter of a page to a full page in rare instances.

Just submitted my app!

I wouldn't worry about that, but if it stresses you out, just put image source: google somewhere on your slide

Just a heads up to all of you who are submitting R1 over the coming days... The Chicago app is not set up like the Stanford or Wharton app, where you could click "submit" and then preview the entire application before paying and finally submitting. Once you click "submit" on the Chicago app - that puppy's out. I was hoping to review everything one last time, but it's probably for the better since I would've just spent an extra hour pulling my hair out with no real improvements to the application. Anyways, all done with R1... now it's time for a break before the R2 deadlines are upon us. Good luck everyone!

There's a question in the app form that asks about why I chose the two recommenders.

I chose previous employers. Is this a good space to say why I didn't choose my current employers? For example, risk of losing promotion, etc.

thanks.

I think it would be better if you explain why previous and why not current employer.

The reality is that the current employers are better. :-( but I didn't want to risk losing what I currently have.

Is that a good way to present it? Or do you suggest another way? thx.
