Why is D not correct?

Complexity of analysis is not directly stated in the passage. If you are indicating the second criterion, the second criterion is the need for operator support to solve complex problems, not the complexity of analysis.

One may argue that it can be indirectly inferred that if a complex problem does not exist then how there could be a need for operator support to solve the complex problem. However please note that the second criterion is not about complexity of analysis, but about the complexity of the problem.

Considering this statement in the second paragraph "Publications regarding the use of anomaly detection methods in real environments, or human factors studies regarding anomaly detection, are scarce." Why is option A incorrect?

It is mentioned that the work in the field is scarce, but it is not mentioned that the scarcity is considered a criterion for selecting the field for research. Consider the following part:
" THIS DOMAIN IS SUITABLE FOR STUDY of finding optimal combinations of expert knowledge and computational methods, SINCE IT FULFILLS THE CHARACTERISTICS of many data-intensive domains..."
The portion following the above states which criteria are considered for selecting the field.

Not convinced, any better explanations?

what's the difference b/w complexity of analysis and complexity of problem? I think both are interlinked and can be used a synonyms in this context.
