Hi,
I need your help evaluating my profile:
- GMAT - 680, I think that 720 is within reach but let's assume that I am not going to retake it
- Undergrad GPA 3.98 - I went to a top 100 school in the US
- CPA
- CFA - level II candidate
- 5 years public accounting experience at a Big 4 firm
- a few other softer strengths such as being a chess master a speaking a few languages
I would like to pursue an MBA with concentration in Finance. Which schools can I target keeping in mind that I want a substantial scholarship?
University of Toronto?
University of Boston?
LBS?
LSE?
Any other decent schools?
Well, since a 720 is within reach, why would we assume that you aren't going to retake? The difference between a 680 and 720 is MASSIVE. so if you can get that 720 I'd strongly urge you to try....
Otherwise U of Toronoto or Boston - sure why not? LBS - without the 720 not likely... LSE - they don't have an MBA
Decent schools, there are many. It all depends on what you want.
But let's put it this way - a big 4 accounting job is pretty good. A 3.98 is fantastic. If you add a 720 to the mix, you get an excellent profile (top 20 schools, if not top some of the top 10) so why not try for it?
