Hi,
I am a 30 years old Indian male and am planning to pursuit a full time MBA starting in fall next year. I recently took my GMAT and got a score of 730 (Q 50, V 40) with a 5.5 in the AWA.
I graduated from a top IIT in 2009 with a Bachelors and a Masters degree in engineering with a CGPA of 7.01/10 (In GPA terms I think it would translate to just above 3). For the next two years I worked as a software developer with a small IT Consulting firm with headquarters in the US. Over the last three and a half years I have worked as a Derivatives Trader, trading commodities on international exchanges. Since the last two months I have been involved with an NGO which works with the youth of the country trying to build self reliance in them. Before this I was also involved with CSR activities of my earlier firms.
I have strong extra-currics in sports and was the Warden Nominee responsible to oversee the working of the 20 member hostel council. I don't have any international experience per se but I did do a 3 months internship in a company in Italy during my coursework at IIT. I have traveled quite a bit both in India as well as abroad. My interests/hobbies include traveling, reading, playing sports, cooking, music.
I have started preparing my applications/essays and am targeting ISB, NUS, NTU, Rotman, Darden and Stern. I would like to seek your advice regarding my chances at these particular schools and what other schools in the US I should target.
I would be really grateful if you could give me a brief feedback. Do let me know if you require any other information from my side.
Thanks.
