Re: Stanford GSB Calling all applicants for Class of 2016! [#permalink]
Got it- thanks, that's helpful. I had set up all kinds of "ghost meetings" where I'm the only attendee for tomorrow and Wednesday to "play defense" on actually having to deal with real, professional issues, but I'm also being dragged into real, actual work tomorrow ;)

Good luck!

Has anyone else taken to over-thinking the timing and number of anonymous Linkedin profile views during this process? I haven't received any for a while...

FROM Stanford Admissions Blog: Register for a Spring Quarter Campus Visit
Planning to apply to the Stanford MBA Program this fall? If you'd like to sit in on a class before you apply, now is the time. Because of our academic calendar, we typically aren't able to offer class visits in the fall prior to the Round 1 deadline in October.

Even if you aren't applying in Round 1, spring is a great time to visit. Besides classes being in session, MBA students will be on hand for Q&A at info sessions and to lead campus tours. And the weather is unbeatable.

On-campus events include:
  • Information sessions: Get a detailed overview of the MBA Program and admission process, and ask your questions. Offered on Mondays and Fridays year-round. Advance registration is required.
  • Class Visits: Observe the Stanford GSB academic experience in real time. Offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays only when classes are in session. Advance registration is required.
  • Knight Management Center Tours: 30-minute tours led by an MBA student. Offered Mondays and Fridays when class visits are in session. No registration is required.

Out of fairness to all applicants, we do not give preferential treatment in the admission process to those who have visited the GSB. Throughout the summer and fall, the MBA Admissions Office also holds information sessions all over the world. Complete the Stay in Touch form and we'll contact you in the coming months with information about events in your area.

My phone number changed, because I moved countries since I did my application... and I can't find where to change it...

And I also did not see this:
"If you are not a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, you must provide an address in your country of citizenship."

And I putted my address of where I was at the time....

Should I do something? tips?? Freaking out a tiny bit here :)

Thank you!!!

Wow - three M7 schools on the same day! I wonder if anyone's waiting on all three?? You'd definitely want to check the caller ID codes in advance if that were the case.

Thanks for the luck - hope you get two calls on Tuesday!

Yep, I'm hoping for calls from Kellogg, Stanford, and Wharton tomorrow. It will be an interesting (or agonizing) day, to say the least.

One quick question for those of you who have dug through the R1 data: What's can we expect from changes to the application site? Though the schools say otherwise, it sounds like there was a pretty strong correlation last round between people who were admitted and people who saw the names of their recommenders disappear from their application page. Does anyone know how soon this information tends to disappear? early in the morning? minutes before the call? @JUG - you might be best suited to answer this at this point.

Yes, I read that as well. Not sure when it happens. As I recall from looking back at the previous posts it wasn't perfectly correlated though (I could be wrong!).

At any rate, all my info is still there right now.

Asia would start in another 4 hours I guess. If I remember R1, the first call was around 2 AM PST..

Got the call in South Africa - 12 noon! Couldn't even breathe!

I'm one of those that never posted but I kept track of the forum because you were all a source of strength and support for me.

Thank you to this forum for helping me stay sane!
