x+y = 11

x-z=-2

z+y=13
z+11-x=13
z-x=2

x=2
y=4
z=9

Hi paidlukkha,

The answer is not C.

Even if you combine St1 and St2, you can deduce the value of x + 2y + z or x - z. We will not be able to find the value of x + z

Answer: E

we do not have more than 1 value for x & y & z respectively to satisfy given statements
X+Y=11
Z+Y=13

When X = 4; Y = 7; Z = 6 --> X + Z = 10
When X = 5; Y = 6; Z = 7 --> X + Z = 12

Multiple values for x, y and z are possible.
