Hi all, looking for some advice on life and career.
I'm a fourth year strategy consultant at a firm from Deloitte I graduated with a 3.0 from an Ivy. I recently did pretty well on my GMATs (760), and was thinking about applying to MBA.
However, I recently received an offer from a small venture capital firm (~50M in funds) to start as an analyst for two years.
I realized that I don't like consulting and that's why I wanted to go to MBA. I was always interested in investment banking and venture capital, but always thought I would need an MBA first.
So what should I do? Try for MBA and hope to get into a top 10? Or take this offer and try for MBA later?
Even if you apply now you can join only next year. There is always a probability that we re apply for our target school.
So join the firm and apply for the MBA. At the time of joining leave the job and start your MBA.
Do not let your MBA suffer because of Job plan, and do not let your Job suffer because of your MBA plan.
