well i just spent a lot of time i should have spent working analyzing the R1 invitations.

So first person reported on October 16th and the 24th was the last day. Here was the breakdown (reported on the thread)

Oct 16: 2 people 1.52 EST
Oct 17: nothing (think it was Booth Live)
Oct 18-19: weekend - nothing
October 20 : 13 people 1:52 est
October 21: 6 people 1:00 EST
October 22: 8 people 1:18 est
October 23: 11 people 12:42 EST
October 24: 14 people + dings 4:30 EST

2 takeaways

1. the emails are sent in one batch
2. they really do send emails on the last day...in fact, that was the highest reported day for R1. and there really was no correlation date between invite date and A/D/WL

I truly don't understand posts like these. Why would you give up now? Especially when Booth Admissions has specifically stated that invitation interviews will continue to go out all the way until the deadline (Feb 4)? And when this has been proven to be historically accurate (referring to angelfire213 's post a few days back: calling-all-booth-applicants-2015-intake-class-of-173724-1140.html#p1475103 )?

Exactly, well said. Everyone, take a deep breath. Relax. There's four more waves of invites left and it doesn't matter if you got invited in the first wave or in the very last, your chances of getting in are exactly the same. Most people in Round 1 were invited in the last wave on the last day. Stop putting yourself down and just have faith that you did the best you could. I know this is easier said than done, heck, I'm coming into Round 2 with two dings already but I believe in myself and so until the final word is out, I'm gonna keep on keepin' on.

Interview Dates: Nov 6 - 23 (starting 5 days to about 3 weeks from last date of invite)

Based on similar time line the decisions should go out around.. week of 10/20 - 24, and then the interview date range would be around 10/29 to 11/15

is that reasonable estimation?


In the post-submission email I got from Booth, they stated that interview invites or dings will be released by 10/24 (didn't give a set time frame so maybe some will come earlier in the process) and that they would begin with interviews on 10/27, with final decision released for those interviewed on 12/18.

Tyler [Smith, Assistant Director of Admissions]: Hi [redacted], interview decisions will be released on a rolling basis starting this week and all applicants will receive a decision of invite to interview or deny without interview by Friday, October 24th.
