After submitting the Darden Application is there any way to check the Application Status ? Applied in R1.. Can you guys give any headsup when can we start getting Interview invites (or dings) ?

Haven't heard any dates from Darden as to when we should start seeing some action...Eagerly waiting!!

Gah, already getting anxious. I believe interviews are notified through a change in the Simplicity application, as well as an email sent to the registered emailbox.

Submitted my application on Oct 16th. Just curious if anyone know whether interview invite email will say that "you are invited for an interview" or it will say that "your application status has changed, you have to login the application" and then once logged in, then it will tell us whether we have been invited for interview?

If I'm not mistaken the online application status does not change.

I fear I will be 100% unproductive at work until I hear whether I've been rejected or invited to interview... I can almost guarantee you that FIFO is not in play here. Best thing to do is to find something else to do to occupy this waiting time. I know that feeling, but theres really nothing anyone can do at this point. Posted from my mobile device

From my conversation with the admissions representative, It looks like the invitations for interview will be sent out starting from tomorrow... Keeping my fingers crossed..

regarding the FIFO question, I think it is like first in first added to the "pile", then those randomly pulled from the pile first will be reviewed and notified first. So if you apply way earlier than the the deadline, while the pile is still small than the FIFO effect is stronger. Otherwise its pretty much random. If the invites do go out tomorrow they will probably go out in the second half of the day via email. Probably around 5 pm. That's my experience from last year. So no reason to check your email every 5 seconds before say 3 30. Then by all means stay glued to your screens and abandon all!
