Calling All IESE 2011 Applicants!!

When I presented myself, you asked me a question about my multicultural background and whether I have troubles in settling on an identity or something like that

cool...now i remember..it was a brilliant question and you answered it even brilliantly..on that account alone, i think we both are in..
btw, didn't Xavier mention that there is still 55% of seats remaining to be filled...what do you think? How many guys who were present at the assessment day will be selected? I think atleast 50%...thats about 24 out of 48..any ideas?

Btw..have u applied to any other school? I have an interview invite from HEC and will be traveling to Paris in the first week of April..Also expecting an interview invite from Cambridge and LBS..

At the end of the assessment day Javier said that he did not have any figure in mind after someone asked him about seats remaining, and during the Open day Jessica said that she does not disclose any figure.

Yah ur correct but in a different context. Both Xavier and Jessica were talking about the conversion rate of Assessment day. Someone had asked both of them about the number of candidates who will be selected from the Assessment day. Although Jessica and Xavier din't disclose this information, they both mentioned that there are places left and Xavier did say that till now, they had managed to fill 45% of the total number of seats. He disclosed this information on the morning of Assessment day.
Anyways, only 2 more days left to go...Best of luck for your selection.

So what did you hear from the admissions committee on your application to IESE...I have been put on a wait list ...No idea how its gonna turn out...another period of agonising wait.

I think my GMAT and MBA adventure finally comes to an end and I will not apply to any other school or expect responses from yet-to-answer schools.

Congratulations man...I am really happy for you and at the same time I envy you..Indeed, your GMAT and mBA adveture comes to an end with an admit from IESE...I, on the other hand, have to appear for an interview for Cambridge and HEC, Paris.
Indeed, even I thought that I would be admitted..Jessica took my interview and told me that she would strongly recommend my name to the admission committee...I also sent a letter of recommendation from an alumni before the decision was taken..But still, I am placed on a wait list...I feel strange as IESE generally places candidates on waitlist after an interview and then calls them for the assessment day..From what I have heard is that after an interview and assessment day, you usually get an admit or a rejection, not a wait list. Any idea who all got admitted if you have been in touch with the guys at assessment day.
Can I ask you what made you think I would be admitted...You know just to make me feel a little better .

I really hope my wait list turns into an admit as IESE is my top choice..Looks like I am paying the price of being an Indian candidate and applying in the later rounds...Lets see what happens..Keeping my fingers crossed..

Some American candidates had their interview and assessment day in New-York, and I think that the school offers the same opportunity in India. Check out the school's website.

If you don't apply you have 0% chances of getting in.

I applied for IESE in the 5th round. Its been almost 2 weeks . No response from them yet. I dont see any commotion on the forum itself which is very disheartening. I should have a given my GMAT earlier

Nationality- Indian
Acads- Decent
EC- Excellent

Going through the forum i saw people stating that there are still lot of places to be filled and that many Spaniards apply late.
My questions are
do non Spanish applications have a chance?
do they need to visit Barcelona on a AD?
Do they at least receive a ding mail if rejected?

I am based in New Delhi ,i am wondering should I ask them for VC ,In the interview invitation there is no option for VC,
