does anyone have stats on scholarships that ross offers? is it similar or lower/higher than the $$$ other schools offeR? n when do they announce them?

Most people were notified during their admit call and then received more info with their admit binder. I haven't seen any aggregate number on amounts/number of scholarships.

Soojin wrote a new blog today, her last of the year:

http://rossblogs.typepad.com/admissions/

"We have completed all Round 1 interviews. Decisions will be released on January 15th. We do try to share the good news with admitted students a couple days before the official decision notification. Calls and emails are not made in any particular order."

Below is a list of questions recommenders are expected to answer regarding our applicants. Please note that this is for reference only and that official recommendations are submitted online.

1. How long and in what context have you known the applicant? What is the peer group you are using for your comparison?

2. Please describe the applicant’s strengths?

3. Please comment on the applicant’s areas of development. What efforts has the applicant made to address these areas?

4. How has the applicant contributed above and beyond her/his expected responsibilities?

5.Our students are involved in classroom experiences and action-based project courses where their active participation is the mechanism for learning. Please comment on the applicant’s ability to help create knowledge in the workplace (i.e., ask questions, learn, contribute, and transfer knowledge to staff, team members, and supervisors).

6.Please feel free to provide any other information you think is relevant to our evaluation.

I was at December's, Ad Com said it has previously been only a Round 1 phenom and will likely continue to be only a Round 1 thing.

Hi aditi123
I can see that you got through Kellogg. Why are you applying to Ross in R2 then? Any particular reason?

Hi folks,

I am applying to Ross R2. One recommender already submitted the letter, while the other one is taking his time. Assuming he won't be able to submit it by January 2nd but let's say 2-3 days later, will I still be considered for R2??

Hi mbaseek12
2-4 days delay is completely fine. Even one of my recommenders submitted it two days late.

I hope you guys know that the actual recommendation questions are a little different.
Here it is:

1. How long and in what context have you known the applicant? What is the peer group you are using for your comparison?

2. Please describe the applicant’s strengths and his/her impact on your organization.

3. What are the two or three things you would recommend that the applicant do more of or less of to be more effective as a leader?

4. Our students are involved in classroom experiences and action-based project courses where their active participation is the mechanism for learning. Please comment on the applicant's ability to help create knowledge in the workplace (i.e., ask questions, learn, contribute and transfer knowledge to staff, team members, and supervisors).

5. Please feel free to provide any other information you think is relevant to our evaluation.

6. Using the grid on the second page of this form please rate the applicant.

my two cents - no qualification is req... only character qualities like patience and active listening for a teacher and interest in the field... some small experiences are sufficient...
