My 500 words essays are going above the limit ... close to 540 now. I am having extremelyhard time is cutting it down.

Whats the best thing to do.. stick with 500 word limit and take some less imp info out .. or leave it with 540 words????

Last year I submitted my essay with 523 words for the 500 one, and 310 for the 300 one. I got an interview but was ultimately rejected. I think that was based on poor interview and grades, so I would probably put 525 words as fairly safe. :D

From my experience, Ross is understanding about recs, but won't call them and verify if you want piece of mind.

My personal opinion is document is better than manual entering (or copy and paste). It preserves the format in your essay.

I prefer uploading my own as well. That way I know exactly what it looks like (formatting, spacing) and can include my own headers/footers. It's a personal preference I suppose.

I believe uploading the essay is the better. Moreover, I think that is what the majority is doing.

The application website is extremely slow now. It is not an internet issue am sure.
