Dr. A: The new influenza vaccine is useless at best and possibly dangerous. I would never use it on a patient.
Dr. B: But three studies published in the Journal of Medical Associates have rated that vaccine as unusually effective.
Dr. A: The studies must have been faulty because the vaccine is worthless.
In which of the following is the reasoning most similar to that of Dr. A?
(A) Three of my patients have been harmed by that vaccine during the past three weeks, so the vaccine is unsafe.
(B) Jerrold Jersey recommends this milk, and I don’t trust Jerrold Jersey, so I won’t buy this milk.
(C) Wingzz tennis balls perform best because they are far more effective than any other tennis balls.
(D) I’m buying Vim Vitamins. Doctors recommend them more often than they recommend any other vitamins, so Vim Vitamins must be good.
(E) Since University of Muldoon graduates score about 20 percent higher than average on the GMAT, Sheila Lee, a University of Muldoon graduate, will score about 20 percent higher than average when she takes the GMAT.

I pick "C"....Dr A reasoning is based on just on his own belief with no evidence to back it. All others have some evidence supporting or negating something, only C seems to be talking in absolute terms.

Dr A's line of reasoning:
- vaccine is useless at best and dangerous
- study must be faulty because vaccine is useless
In which of the following is the reasoning most similar to that of Dr. A?
(A) Three of my patients have been harmed by that vaccine during the past three weeks, so the vaccine is unsafe.
- different reasoning. We're not sure why Dr A deemed the vaccine to be dangerous, and in fact, we're told Dr A feels the new drug is useless at best and possibly dnagerous. This doesn't mean that the drug will be dangerous for anyone.
(B) Jerrold Jersey recommends this milk, and I don’t trust Jerrold Jersey, so I won’t buy this milk.
- Different reasoning. Nowwhere in the original passage does Dr A says he doesn't trust anything. The only thing he dismissed was the medical study, and that was nowehre near 'distrust'.
(C) Wingzz tennis balls perform best because they are far more effective than any other tennis balls.
- This line of reasoning is similar. The author makes a conclusion based on a personal opinion, with no other trials as proof. It's similar to Dr A, who makes a conclusion (study must be faulty) based on a personal opinion (vaccine is uesless/dangerous)
(D) I’m buying Vim Vitamins. Doctors recommend them more often than they recommend any other vitamins, so Vim Vitamins must be good.
- Different reasoning. Now he's taking in recommendations, whereas in the original passage, he's not open to ideas (dimiss the study)
(E) Since University of Muldoon graduates score about 20 percent higher than average on the GMAT, Sheila Lee, a University of Muldoon graduate, will score about 20 percent higher than average when she takes the GMAT.
- Based a conclusion on a fact (different)
I'll take C
