Duke's fb group numbers are hard to judge since it includes many members from the 2013 & 2014 classes. I wouldn't use people joining as a sign of waitlist movement.


Also, more to think about, on the Johnson FB group, the Class of 2013 official handed over the reins to the Class of 2014. After graduation a few extra 14s joined to help run it. That could also be part of the swell on Dukes page.

Any speculation on how many people are still on the waitlist? And how many you think will be accepted off it?

There are at least 25 WLers just on the GMAT CLUB. I am pretty sure, there are also few who are not on this forum. At this point, I think our chances are small - the last deposit deadline was last week, so few of us *might* get called during the next couple of weeks. We also should be getting an email from a WL counselor soon.

25 is a big number. Whatsup with that WL email we got last month which said our WL is selective and you still have a great shot at acceptance? Duke has pretty much zero WL movement this year which makes me think that either they are over suscribed or planning a major movement soon (i hope later)

All the Best everyone!! I am going to apply to Fuqua in Round 1 for Fall 2014. I doubt I'll get through immediately, so preparing myself with these pointers.

That's crazy... if this is the case, looks like Duke indeed overbooked in Round2...

I don't like it either, but keep in mind that gmatclub only represents 10% of the applicant pool (I maybe off), so it could be that they did make some offers, we are not aware of. But, yeah, Duke has been surprisingly quiet this year. I am just hoping that they are just waiting for other schools.

So guys, my apartment deposit went through, and I have paid my second deposit to Johnson... I am officially (this time I promise) out of the WL game. Good luck all! I REALLY hope there is some sort of movement soon.


oh, thats sucks. Did you email Duke or just going to wait it out, even though you won't go there.

Its pretty frustrating that there has been ZERO WL movement this year. Even Berkeley with a class of 250 accepted 2 people yesterday. I think the most frustrating thing is that Duke had zero communication with us. I called them last week, and the lady said that I can't say anything about the movement and I don't know if we accepted anyone lately.
