Re: How to find the essay I wrote in GMAT Prep? [#permalink]
Regardsless of uninstall, GMATPrep gives you the same argument and issue questions. So, I don't know seeing the solution for same questions worth anything but when I used to do full length test, I prefered to use the GMATPrep editor because the purpose was to get used to of the software and the environment. I also used to pick up fresh new argument and issue essays for each attempt of full length tests. Yeah, it was some what irritating for me not to able to read back what I had earlier typed but still I prefered to use GPrep software.

I wrote this parser in Java to extract your essay out from the log file. It only works well if you didn't click around too much with your mouse, since the log file does not record mouse clicks. You might have to fix up your essay a bit afterward. Hope it helps.

I found this site where you can buy the AWA practice. This program gives feedback and scores the essays it seems. I plan to buy to use it for my practice.

I was able to retrieve the essay that I wrote using the software "SQLite Database". I was trying to find out the times I spent on each question and there is a nice post on GMATClub where the guy explained how to use this software, you can search on the website with this title - gmatprep-2012-obtain-exam-logs-timing-awa-essay-142118.html
Just follow the same exact steps and when you read AWA section using the software, just double click and your essay will show up.
