Wondering if any current student can comment on the situation of scholarships and financial aid for international students?
Also how easy is it to obtain GA's from other departments?
On a side note, as a current student what are the three things you would describe in a prospective student that would make him/her a perfect fit for the school provided the stats are on par with the school's requirements.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

most of the students get GRA. Financial Aid from school is good. You can work with other organization affiliated to the school also.
the second one is subjective. the school looks at a diverse class. we have folks from IT, Marketing and Military also. you should put your best foot forward. and if you ask for three things to keep in mind.
- Present yourself as a well-rounded person
- Know how the school cn help you reach your post mba goal
- Know how the location can help you

Hi Pankaj,

Yes, you do have to take the TOEFL and also get the Official score delivered to them via ETS. If you are yet to appear for the TOEFL, try to ensure that Scheller is one of the four schools for which you get to report the score for free at the time of appearing for your test. All the best !!

I asked the same question to Scheller. Here is an extract of the conversation that took place :

Ingrid : When you initially apply you can upload your unofficial transcripts but Graduate Admission will need your official transcripts. When you have your official transcripts you can mail them off to Graduate information.
Soham : Does your statement mean that I can send my official transcripts after I am successful in securing an Admit at Scheller since I have only one copy of my undergraduate transcript.
Ingrid : Yes that is correct. Upload your unofficial transcripts and if admitted you will need to mail to Graduate Admissions your official transcripts.

Post-enrollment you will have to send official ones to Graduate Studies office.

Quick Question:

Here is my profile:

I went to Georgia Tech for MS in Electrical Engineering. Been working with my company for over two years now, and want to get back into B school to move into business side of semiconductor industry.

GPA is about 3.4, GRE is about 320 with 80+ percentile in both Verbal, Quants and AWA. Should I go ahead and apply to my alma mater? Or my chances aren't so great.

One thing I would like to point out is that I have a lot of international business experience.

I am not sure if this is the right place, but if anyone can guide me, it would be awesome.
