Just a quick tip for this year's applicants, try to scan through the last years' threads, a lot of doubts can be solved from those. Also you can contact last year's admitted applicants for you doubts through GC.

Submitted my app. Really excited and at the same time nervous.Hoping it goes all well.
Typically how long does it take to get a decision(interview invite).
Was surprised to see, no recommendations, and references only.Has it been always this way at Cox, or is it something that was started this year.Wonder how the admissions committee, will evaluate candidates without any recommendations at all.Hope all the parts of my app are strong enough for an admit with some funding as well.

Usually it takes one week to ten days to get a call for interview, it took me 15 days. The references thing was the same last year too.

Submitted my app on 07th Oct. I see applicants who submitted app later getting interview invite.Almost 3 weeks after the submission I have not heard anything from Cox.
Portal status just says submitted. Can't figure out whether the application has been reviewed.
What shall I assume - Dinged?
