It must be hectic for you guys in the season! I can sense what you guys must be going through as I was in your shoes a few months back...

Just wanted to share some insights on what's going on here...

Our Mod A finals ended today and Mod B starting from Monday! I can't believe how fast these two months passed and how much I learned!

Cox MBA is a very exhaustive program and a lot of fun... we are a total of 104 people... so a very small class with two sections....you really know everyone in your class!

Apart from class, there are numerous activities...I'm sure you can't do everything - even though you wish to!

Let me know if you guys have any questions, as always I am happy to help!

So, here's the message I got from one of the applicant. I am posting here for the benefit of all.

Message:

How good is COX for consulting.
Any of the major four consulting companies come to COX?
Did you receive any scholarship, and it covered what amount?

My response

In recent time, COX has put in a lot of effort in expanding its consulting reach. In past, people have made it to PWC, Deloitte, Accenture, Bain, BCG, McKinsey, EY, KPMG.

Also, there have been upswing of boutique companies recruiting at COX this year. There is a dedicated Cox Consulting Academy (selection to which is competitive) that is focused on providing unique opportunities. McKinsey and Bain do recruit Cox but for BBA. This might get changed next year as COX is increasing reach in consulting.

SMU and SMU COX are very very strong brand is Dallas. Opportunity wise, if you have some target opportunities in Dallas area, SMU COX would be the best value addition !

I am looking at the entertainment industry post MBA. I checked out with the internship report. I saw National Art Gallery and the Walt Disney. However, I would like to know more. Opportunities in the entertainment industry in Dallas if there are any. Does Walt Disney come regularly for recruitment ?

What are the scholarship opportunities at Cox ??? I saw figures of 80k, 70k !!! Is it per year ?? Or 80k for two years combined ? Well, if it is per year, then I must say that amount will cover everything because the tuition fees is 50k

Scholarship opportunities depend on your overall application and determined by admissions committee.

The figures you mentioned are for two years and typically applied towards your tuition fees.
