Good Choice!

Because of the good placement figures for the class of 2015 (it is 97% after three months, up from 92% at graduation), I think it is possible for the Illinois MBA to get into top 30, possibly top 25 on US News' MBA Rankings. Here in the program, we can't wait for next March when the new rankings come out.

So, being in for R1, is a 'good choice'

Hello everyone,

Had a query regarding the Recommendation deadline. Hope to find an answer here.

I submitted my application for round 1. I had also informed my recommenders to submit the LOR's by 21 Oct deadline. Apparently one of my Recommenders failed to submit the online recommendation within the given deadline. :(
I wanted to know if my application would be considered for round one ?

Standard questions are asked during the interview. Go to the old class of 2015, 2016, 2017 threads to read reports by people who did skype interviews during their application process to the Illinois MBA.

Yes, your application would be part of R1.

What you have to know is that....deadlines are just guidelines. The adcom will review applications as they come, so if you miss the deadline by one day, that doesn't matter. The adcom is very flexible, understanding.

This week, I saw the adcom interviewing people on campus. So, I would think the interview invites are still going out. One thing to keep in mind, which was said elsewhere, is that the adcom is a small team, so, they move very slowly when it comes to interviews. The last of interviews should be held by Dec 16 this year, then winter break starts. Hang in there!

I had my interview last evening with Mark Lockwood . It was very brief discussion. Lasted for only 19 mins ! :o
Not sure if the Illinois keeps the interview short and concise. As far as i can recall the whole discussion went smooth and don't think i screwed up the interview either. This has left me perplexed. :roll:
