Its hard to wait till 15th Dec for results.. 2 more weeks to go..
I thought may be it is good time to start discussion around career options -
Anyone has some insights into the job search in consulting and Technology for international students at GT? I see around 57% of students go to Consulting or Technology jobs, which is great. With small class size of ~60 and I guess there would be ~15 international students - with such small numbers it is hard to understand the actual career options for international student from the employment data. I understand that with visa sponsorship challenges - career options for international students are inherently more challenging. however I will appreciate any more insights.

Thanks,

Just had my interview with Adcoms director and a second year student. Loved the experience as it was very conversational and behavioral. Had some technical glitches with Skype disconnecting once though. Hoping for the best now. Good luck to every one else!

Hi guys,

Even I had my interview yesterday. The interview lasted for about 50 mins. It was very informative as both my interviewers gave quite a lot of details about the program which helped clear my doubts. They were also happy to answer all my queries.

To be honest, it was more like a friendly discussion than a formal interview

Overall, it was a great experience for me!

Cheers!

I guess everyone has had a great experience with Scheller interviews. I hope they feel the same and admit us. I really love the community and what the program has to offer.

Me too Ralph!

What I can say, from my own research and the insights provided in the interview, is that this program would undoubtedly benefit me in my career.

They said that I would hear from them before the 15th of this month. Till then, I guess we have to bite our nails and hope for the best.

Scheller has a fantastic placement in Technology. Despite the small alumni size, they have strong connections in the Bay Area. Jim told us during the visit that only one of their graduates had failed to obtain a job last year. Career services is definitely the last thing to worry about when it comes to Scheller.

Good luck to all who have interviewed recently! The fact that they are looking to interview you is a good sign. Luckily, it's not too long of a wait until the deadline.

Hi,

I see that you already have an admit from Scheller. Is the admit rolling? I thought I have to wait till dec 15th to get the decision.

Thanks

It's kind of a new year for Scheller as they almost always have done rolling admissions in the past. This year is the first that they are doing Round-based applicants. I interviewed early and got the call a week later.

It was kind of a weird situation for me because I had to inform my employer that I was leaving quite early so that the job req could be approved and then be able to train my replacement. There's only a week or so left. I'm sure you'll get some good news before then.

Congrates on your admit... and best of luck with Tepper and McDonough as well. Looks like you are all set on Scheller...
I plan to quit job in June, so I don't need to worry about transition as of now, but I can't wait for results to come thru... probably the hardest part of application especially because I can't do anything from application point of view than wait.. :)

Thanks

True that! Thanks man. I hope you find yourself in a similar position soon. I have discovered that despite some admits, the anticipation and wait for one of your's school's results is the same.
