While I'm not qualified to answer your questions, I would posit that the sleepless nights won't be ending too soon for most wait-listers. The reason being that wait-listers obviously take the place of admitted applicants who decline attendance. Logically, the majority of these should not be as close to the decision notification deadline as the applicant response deadline. With that said, it is widely accepted that Round 4 has room for very few admits in the first place, leaving even fewer spots to be declined and filled by wait-listers. On the other hand, there are always some who declared intent to matriculate, put down their deposits, moved off a wait-list at another school they preferred over UT, and change their mind, opening another spot for a wait-lister. This last scenario seems to potentially go on throughout the summer.
Soooo, yea let's not hold our breath just yet
