Wow, the number of people put on the waitlist is ridiculous! Not sure what to think about that, but Wharton has got to be the king of waitlist schools!

It does seem like a high proportion based on this thread, but who knows what the overall representation is when you consider how many applicants are not on gmatclub. Once Rd 3 applicants are reviewed and vetted, I'm sure we will start to see folks pulled from the WL. However, for most of us, we will have already committed elsewhere by then. I was grateful to be able to extend my Sloan offer into late April in order to wait out Wharton, Stanford, and HBS this week. It will all be over for me by tomorrow!

Again, congrats to everybody who was admitted!

Looks like I'm the only person who got dinged so far?? Frankly I'll rather take this over yet another WL. Closing this door and moving on. Congrats all who were admitted and good luck to those waiting to hear the final word!

If any new Lauder admits have questions, please let me know. The program beings on May 6th so it's important to move quickly!

Heartiest congratulations to all the admits on scoring big. WL'ers hang on there - fat lady.

P.S: Please change your GC school status if you have heard either way. It's always good to see some green and it should help future applicants as well.

Some believe that Wharton's insecurities about yield contributes to its mind-boggling waitlist game... Why waitlist people from R1 all the way into the summer? How hard is it to just say no? You either want someone or you don't...

Perhaps the admissions team missed out on the "just say no" DARE education of the 90s.

Waitlisted here too. Frustrating but glad to have some other choices.

I never even got an email notification of being dinged from the WL, and at this point it's 10pm EDT so I wouldn't expect one. If I wasn't incessantly checking the online portal I would have had no idea. Really poorly handled, Wharton.
