Re: A Question to all who scored 720+ [#permalink]
You won't get all of them right because as others have said the tests adapts to your abilities.

You say you are getting about 80% right in the OG, hopefully the vast majority are on the higher difficulty questions. If not, make sure you master the basic principles first so that you are rarely if ever missing the 500-600 level questions. From there you can build on your foundation.

Another major part of the test prep is mastering the timing. This is definitely what helped me boost my scores from 730 level to the 780 which was my ultimate score. I'd recommend doing all of your practice tests in timed conditions to start getting it down. Later, once you are getting around 700+ you can really focus on timing. You have to learn to narrow your choices quickly and accurately and pay attention to the timer at all times so you never get behind pace. The GMAT is beatable but you have to manage the test the whole time.

Re: A Question to all who scored 720+ [#permalink]
Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your valuable comments..it really helped to boost up my confidence.
I am now practicing Kaplan GMAT 800 along with OG.
I am thinking to give the GMATPrep exam after 2 weeks, with a better preparation. Then, I will get a better sense of the score...What do you suggest?

Can you guys help me with links to tough 700 level problems..it seems I can get almost all 500-600 level questions correct..but have problems with 700 level ones..
Need to practice 700 level more. Also, are there any free CAT tests that I can take?

Thanks alot for your help..really makes me happy to come back and see your helpful comments after a days work! :-D

Regards,
Sam

I scored a 760 and can tell you with 100% certainty that I missed my first question in Quant.

You should expect to miss questions (but hopefully not your first one :D ), that's part of the CAT process. Don't get discouraged and don't spend too much time on problems you don't know how to solve.
