Hi , I had a query regarding the recommendations for the Said MBA program. I believe there are no specific set of questions in the recommendations , one just needs to type a response with max 5000 characters. So the 5000 characters includes spaces or the response could be 5000 characters excluding spaces? Does one needs to nearly cover the 5000 characters stipulated response? Reason i am asking is , i read on this forum that the recommendations for Indian applicants is an important aspect and one should utilise the max response characters. Thanks !!

I don't think this is true. The recommendation letters I sent in were about 600 words each (4000 characters) and I got in. If your background is weak elsewhere, then maybe using the full quota is important. As always it's the quality rather than the quantity that matters.
