Hey , I am somya , just finished my graduation in BBA with a 74% aggregate.

I am writing my GMAT in September end. Keen on doing MS finance from IE Business School. The program will help me achieve my career goal. The whole idea of doing CFA along with the program makes it extremely tough and that's what makes this program different from all the other programs offered by top B schools.

Thank you

Looking for a 720 score !

With a GMAT of 600-620 you need to decide what your goal is. If it is to go to a reputable school and study in the US then fine. If it is to get a job in investment banking or something then you'll have issues. I know a guy who scored high 500's and went to LSU and is doing fine and received a good education. Then again not everyone considers LSU to be a top university. All depends on your opinions.

@msfhq Not looking at I-Banking at the moment. More into Research,Analysis and Modelling. Can you throw some light on job prospects after completing MS from such schools (intake at GMAT 600-620). I know there will be a lot of schools in that(upto 620) range, so if you could help me with the better ones with respect to their placements and education.

Hey guys,

I'm applying also so here's my profile:

upper 2nd class honors Bachelor in Economics
GMAT 730
Toefl - to be taken
Some other qualifications (professional qualification "Corporate management", certificate in logistics, certificate in economic growth theory&competitiveness, etc.)

internship at my country's Ministry of Finance
internship at Big 4 accounting
full time at Big 4 accounting
2 years NGO country representative

Target school: Stockholm School of Economics, maybe I would give a try to LSE's Accounting&Finance, although I prefer SSE.

I would love to hear your insights about my chances to be admitted as well as meet fellow master wannabes at SSE :)

I still monitor it. I think it might be appropriate to create a Class of 2015 for this years applicants.

I think you have a great profile. GMAT is good, work experience is very good and L2 of the CFA wil help a lot.

Are you married to the Boston area? If so apply to BC primarily. What interests you about Purdue?

Need a little more information than that. Your profile looks fine, but what are you trying to do with an MSF? Where would you like to live post graduation? Urban campus or rural campus. Etc ect.

IMO, I would do Purdue and/or BC over Suny Buffalo MBA at this point.
