Will there be team-based discussions for the 2013-2014 application cycle (like last year)?

The email doesn't mention anything about a team-based discussion.

Full email. Don't worry it doesn't say anything we don't already know!

Quote:
Dear XXX,

Thank you for submitting your application for Round One.

The following will provide you with information concerning the processing of application materials, timeline for the release of interview invitations, and final decision releases.

If your online account reads “Complete - Round One,” your application has all the required materials, has been processed by the Operations Team, and has been forwarded to the Committee for review.

If your online account reads “Received,” then the Operations Team needs to process your online application submission and any materials submitted by hard copy. After your materials have been processed (assuming they arrived before the Round One deadline), your online account will be changed to “Complete for Round One” and your file will be forwarded to the Committee for review. Due to the high number of candidates who submitted their application during the past few days (more than 60% of candidates applying for Round One submitted their application within 24 hours of the deadline), it will take the Operations Team a approximately a week to complete the processing of all materials. Therefore, please allow the Operations Team until Tuesday, October 8th before inquiring about the completeness of your application.

The Admissions Committee will release interview invitations between Tuesday, October 22nd and Thursday, November 7th. Due to the nature and complexity associated with the admissions process there is no particular order in which invitations are released. Also on November 7th, the Committee will release all final admissions decisions to candidates that are not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission.

If you are invited for an interview, you will need to complete your interview by Friday, November 22nd. Interviews will be available on-campus with second-year Wharton MBA Admissions Fellows and off campus in various locations around the world by Admissions staff members. These locations will be announced in the coming weeks and all interview options are considered equally within the admission process.

Candidates who are offered an interview will receive their final admissions decision by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, December 17th.

Thank you again for applying to Wharton. We look forward to reading your application.

Sincerely,
Wharton MBA Admissions Committee
Lauder Admissions Committee

I got my Wharton e-mail this afternoon. It is exactly the same as Domo posted.

I guess they're just wading through the applicant flood that happened on the last 48hrs (until the deadline). Be patient people! :)

That's odd-I got a confirmation within 2 days. Maybe the resignation is causing some kind of backlog? If there's no indication on your applyyourself page, then it couldn't hurt to give the admissions office a call.

The status reads Application status: Submitted, Complete- Round 1. What did you mean by the resignation bit?

That means they have everything and it was sent to the reviewers so you should be fine. Maybe check your spam folder...

A recent entry on admissions blog says that TBD will be part of the process (https://mbablog.wharton.upenn.edu/from-t ... discussion)

Anyone applying for the Lauder program?
I am not sure if I overdid it or not by applying additionally to the program.

Anyways, does any one of you know where the hub cities are located for the interview?
I live way too far for an interview at Wharton campus, and since interview is conducted only by Admissions committee, I am wondering if I have to fly out of the country for an interview (That is, if I am fortunate enough to get an interview).

Just check on the website whether you are a 're-applicant'. Some schools mention that you need to have applied in the last cycle to be called one. Not sure what's W's policy.

Wharton's reapplicant window is 2 years. No schools that we know of have a 3-year window.

Does it mean that I am no longer eligible to apply after two years?

AK2016 it just means that after 2 years you are considered a fresh applicant.. meaning you dont have to write the re-applicants essay and neither will your previous application be referred to by the admissions committee. You are always eligible to apply.
