Hi Soumya,
Still can be used in two ways

1. Contrast use: I am new at work, still I am bombarded with assignments. Here still is used to set contrast, similar to although. Although and still (used for contrast), cannot be used together

2. Temporal (to use time: He is still coming to school. This is used to denote time. This can be used with although.

In your sentence the still is used to denote the time AFTER he has increased the number of teachers.

Hope this makes sense.

Great work carcass. Really a wonderful compilation and I would go as far to say that in many respects it can be as useful as solving OG itself. I went through some questions and even these helped me to gain some more conceptual clarity. Kudos !! :)

Hi Carcass and Soumya,
I don't understand the OE for answer (E) in question 21. You said this answer is missing a verb, but from what I am concerned, "be" here is the main verb. I am confused, could you please help me?

I have a query in Question 54. The Official Answer is given as 'C', but in option C, the pronoun 'his' has no antecedent in the sentence?
Where am I going wrong?

Thanks for all the questions. And even more, the explanations. :)

I am not sure if this is the right place, but I had a doubt about a basic thing.
Hope you can help.

Which of these is correct:
1. I, as well as John, are short.
2. I, as well as John, am short.

I feel 1. but the books say that when "other phrases are used to separate the subject from the verb, these phrases do not affect the verb." So then, logically, "as well as John" should not alter the regular verb "am". :|

I have completed OG and VR 2017 .. I am using this file since the past few days. I am finding it very easy.Is it that easy or I have improved(my accuracy is 90% in this file).

Great initiative (y). Can you please tell the sources(ex GmatPrep, OG etc) from which the questions have been taken.

Are these questions from Manhattan ? I have to give Test from Manhattan so should I practice these all questions?
