Hi Souvik & Carcass,
Thanks for posting such a great compilation of question..
I have a doubt regarding question 30.
the explanation provided is "The sentence starts with a modifying phrase - to reduce the discharge of untreated wastes into the Great Lakes, - so whoever is doing this reduction should come after the comma i.e. the United States. Hence eliminate A, B, and D." is it a rule ,Can you please elaborate on this rule and provide a few more examples.

Thanks,
SS

Hi daagh, chetan2u, GMATNinja, souvik101990, carcass

Can you please help me understand this.

By 1995, Emily had achieved several great accomplishments in her life. >>Here the usage of Past perfect Tense is correct cause the event happened before 1995.

The highlighted portion in the below sentence conveys the same meaning, isn't it? So why is the usage of Past perfect tense incorrect here.

Although women in some places had voted as early as 1870s, voting rights for women throughout United States were not established until 1920

Thanks in advance.
Harsh.

According to me, the answer for question no. 14 should be E, coz in D the use of "them" is not right. Please let me know where am I going wrong in that.
